And thank you for reminding me I need to read this book again (even though last time I was in a smallish plane heading to Lismore in a huge thunderstorm that went for almost the whole trip and my body was thinking it might die (my mind was trying to be more rational). I should have better luck this time.
good luck. that the scenes in which he philosophises and pontificates - when he is in the park wondering if he's the same as the tree roots, etc...i can't help thinking it's a bit of a wank. but i loved the book as a whole. lots of lovely (and some awful) ideas crammed together.
